AWAKENING OF THE FORGOTTEN POWERS.

Updated: Apr 11, 2021

Helena Abidin,

My sister, My Muse, My Coach and spiritual goddess

She shows me a different side of women. I feel honour to know such a strong beautiful elegance woman.

Her message for women is embracing their power, that we can do so much in life, to be a leader for example. Being a leader, we can assist the organization into a better future with our compassion and intuition. A women leader doesn’t have to follow men with the intention of acceptance, women leader in big organization or in her home should embrace their own uniqueness and lead with confidence and known as our own identity.

WOMEN: AWAKENING OF THE FORGOTTEN POWERS.

Helena Abidin

Why do women need empowerment? Why do women need that someone, community, society or government to give them power to be able to take actions, engage in social-political activities or improve gender equality in various aspects? Why do women need to be reminded that they have the power within them to gain control over what they want to do and achieve in lives?

We know that power is not formed only by heredity and growth conditions and care. It is also formed by opportunities and experience in the world around them.

Since the ancient times, there have been less women in power compared to men. When these women were mentioned, most of the time they were defined by their relationships - whether as the daughter, the wife or the mother of a man in power.

Our female ancestors had struggled and experienced extremely tough times in their lives – from being slaves, physically restricted and owned, isolated, tortured, imprisoned, to being killed for who they were, whether for their powers, their quest for freedom, or the truth that they wanted to express.

That’s why girls have been given so much extra protection by the parents since they were born, compared to their boy siblings. That’s why young girls are complimented for their beauty, appearance, outfits, while boys are praised for their toughness, bravery, and expression.

Most girls were raised by fear-based belief system of their parents. They grew up forgetting their true power, questioning their roles in this world, society and family, wondering about their self-worth, self-esteem, physical look, the judgement from the society, their own judgement, insecurity, and inability to express their truth. Because of these, they may have suffered from a series of traumatic experiences in their early lives. They forget that they were born free. Free to be the person they aspire to be, achieve their biggest dream in life, have the full control of their own live, be happy, do things that make them happy, and free to make their own life choices.

Remembering their inner powers requires them to build consciousness of who they are, to change their belief system, have the courage to make tough changes, leave their comfort zone and to embark into a new journey. We see a phenomenal situation in the world at the moment, where more women have decided to take more important roles and leadership in awakening the consciousness of the world. They empower other women and take actions to push changes in policy, norm, stigma that restrict their control in their own lives and how they can make significant changes and impacts in the society.

Women should now support each other in the awakening of the forgotten powers within them and claim that power to make the positive changes in the world.
